It is hard to believe that a city that has such a busy downtown core to it would be able to find space for a park. Ottawa has managed to accomplish this with Confederation Park. This park is so impressive that it is considered as a National Historic Site of Canada. The park is flat in terrain with lots of paved paths to enjoy some strolls on, and the chance to view the monuments along the way.
This park is classed as an entertainment facility that is comprised of 18 acres. It can be found along Bank St. near the Rideau Canal. Here one will find the TD Place Stadium, and as you can imagine there are plenty of events going on here at any given time. Lansdown Park is known as Ottawa’s Exhibition Park.
If you enjoy large parks then you will be most impressed with Strathcona Park in Ottawa. Not only are you going to enjoy all that nature has to offer here but you will be thrilled with the presentation of the fountain that can be seen on the hill. This is the type of park where you will want to take a good book and plan to spend many hours reading and just watching the scenery.
These are just a few of the many different types and sizes of parks that can be found in Ottawa. Some are more suited for family activities while others are just serene and perfect for relaxing in. The choice will be yours which you want to enjoy but you will not be lacking in choices.
